Dear Reader,

Thanks for visiting Inner Compass Copy.

About Me: I started my business writing service to support entrepreneurs who want to start and/or grow a dream business.

My Journey

I’ve been a writer all my life. I started my journey as a personal trainer in the fitness industry writing blogs, wellness presentations, and sales and marketing material.

But, before I was a personal trainer, I worked at big box gyms as a sales consultant and local marketer for whatever company I was working for at the time. Some of the big names that hired me were Gold’s Gym, 24 Hour Fitness and L.A. Fitness.

My defining moment was, when I learned that if I wanted to keep my job, I had to well…sell, sell and sell.

So, I devoured as many books and courses I could get my hands on. My first impressionable, and old school book on sales was from a quirky guy named Zig Zeigler, which I still have today. It took several years, but that crazy little book set me on my path to copywriting.

I remember the day I earned my first paycheck as a membership “director” (sales) at 24 Hour Fitness. As I was walking home, I tore open my paycheck envelope that revealed more money than I had ever made in my life.

After that, I learned how to write sales, and “funnel” my prospects down the path to purchase by improving and tweaking gym sales pitches.

I also trained novices on how to sell their service and make a lucrative living as a personal trainer.

Helping others to launch their business helped me in turn to build and run a lucrative marketing business.

My Philosophy

I’ve always been admired entrepreneurship and the dedication and skills to dream it, build it and succeed. I pursued a MS degree in Behavior Modification and this education has helped me understand people’s buying process when they desire a product or service.

My business philosophy isn’t so much about luck, but about resilience, focus and follow through. It requires a clear vision of what you want to accomplish, creating the right blueprint and trusting the process.

Businesses fail for a myriad of reasons, but they have a real chance to succeed if you have:

  • Have a clear vision of your product or service that solves a problem.

  • Find your perfect customer and cater to them.

  • Research, and use savvy copywriting and digital content marketing skills to ultimately sell your product or service.

    Here’s to your bright future.

    Diana
